NY Circa 2008

I've been going through a lot of my personal work lately and really wanted to share some with you.  I was going to go into a big long shpeel about being an artist as a profession and needing to find a balance between doing the work that puts food in your belly and doing the work that inspires you. But...you've heard it all before.  I'll just say this:  Food is good. Food sustains. But passion gives life.  Passion is something that enables us to leave some things behind while fighting for greater things, and to experience what we were meant to.  What a sad day it would be if we all forsook our passion just to put food on our tables. This trip to NY in late 2008 was one of those rare occasions where I just got to be a photographer for the sake of being a photographer and indulge in the passion I have for life and art.  And in NY, at that. I love NY. It is a magical and romantic place.  I cherish any moments I get to spend there.  These are just some images I was able to capture while there for those short moments: ny_trip1_0366_edit_bw
